In all my years as a cosmetologist I have seen alot of change in styles and also in the advancements of haircare. I have always found the value in supreme salon quality products. Think of it like medicine for your hair.

Science: The hair is made up of proteins and amino acids. Proteins are responsible for the firmness of the hair, its strength. Amino acids are responsible for the moisture of the hair, it being softs and bouncy.

make sure you have a good balance of strength and moisture, depending on how much your hair needs to ensure that your hair always looks and feels like a million bucks!

Trend Alert: Denim Hair!

My favorite new trend since the balayage ombre is denim hair! The hues of earthy blues look great on every blonde! It can be conservative or bold, whichever fits your lifestyle. Blues Always fade nicely on blondes too because at the final phases of fading it nicely tones the natural blonde- win win!

   All Across the globe increasingly more people are experiencing a shift in consciousness. This can be described in a series of physical, emotional symptoms along with mystical experiences. Its Important that people know what is happening here. there is a discussion on the horizon of out of this world content. This is the golden age of humanity and we are all about to experience it. Give your love and light to everyone near and far for it truly makes a difference in this process.

This human ascension is the result of the switch of the magnetic poles and our planets shift in its relation to the sun, there is an emission of subatomic particles and photons when the pull effects the sun. (This happens every 25,000 years or so) These things are absorbed by our bodies making our chakra energies 'super human' thus making us more loving and light bodied beings. pretty cool stuff!

with all the home servicing apps coming out and the ways in which technology has advanced our world into making it as efficient and enjoyable as possible, would you say that >>Time<< is the new luxury? if you ask me, 100% yes it is.And for how much we travel now-a-days how nice is it to just be home?

This is why I love home hair! its a luxury for both the client and I. The only time I think of my job as "work" is when I'm running behind schedule. of course this is reality, there are variables that sometimes you cant control but what if that never happened? Hallelujah!

pop the champagne, put on your robe and the tunes, pet the dog,read the paper, let the kids spend time, finish that email, and get your hair did at home! :)

Progression of the perfect color

as a stylist integrity of the hair is my number one concern. I've worked with the industries leading professionals and celebrity stylists alike. The one thing they have in common is that they never use a developer above 20 volume. So while you are results driven and want to get more bang for your buck think about this...

this is a perfect example of the progression of a color that looks and feels like a million bucks.

Silver IS Sexy

I recently had a client with a full head of gorgeous silver hair and when she sat in my chair the first thing i said was "oh my god, I love your haircolor!" She was shocked and looked at me like I was crazy because apparently no other hairdresser had said that to her before. In fact they had always wanted to cover it up. This came as a shock to me as I have always been a fan of every kind of grey. Silver is Irresistible! it should be celebrated.

Most people dont know that there are actually some great products out there that enhance the grey: Silver shampoos help brighten the grey by cancelling out any yellow-y tones and add shine. Kevin Murphy has a line dedicated to making that coarse texture baby soft again. featured below, its called Young Again.

My style focus this year is mostly concentrated on my upcoming trip to Rome and Paris. I love travel attire its my favorite! Its all about layering, classics, beautiful material, lightweight, versatile clothing. Casual sophistication is always the best way to go because you can dress it up or down.so easily.By untucking one side shows that you arent take yourself too seriously;-)

sage ginger iced tea & the best way to decompress

Sage and ginger homemade iced tea

Sage & Ginger:

Boil 2 tbsp crushed sage, 3 quarter size peices of ginger, 1 tsp raw organic honey

pour over ice and squeeze in the juice of half a lime.

Sage is an anti-microbial and an anti-hidrotic. It can help stop heavy persperation. 

Sage can help memory and cognitive recognition and good for all over well being and balance to reduce irritability. 

to further reduce irritability and promote all over wellness, oxygenate your blood. to do this just take full breaths of fresh air for 15 minutes while doing light exercise to get the blood moving.

because our bodies don't automatically oxygenate to their full potential, this practice is good to do for yourself.
